RISD’s design strategy incorporates inventive building systems and advanced engineering to power the house, and innovative structural components like venting skin and a “green” roof reduce the energy load of the house. The energy-efficient dwelling is on display in Providence through September 24, when it will be dismantled and transported to Washington on four flatbed trucks.
